Sean, the Man of MeetYourMaker, picks his selection of the London Collections: Men...
James Long's neon photographic prints & combined textural garments.
Christopher Shannon's monochrome collaged print tees, functional attention to detail & interesting material choices.
Katy Eary's multicoloured digital prints, covering sporty fabrics & luxe tees.
The display of variety that London Collections: Men showcased was truly inspiring. Men are renowned to be the hardest audience to please & this audience was instantly won over. With Harvey Nichols holding this special event, the key focus was on quality & attention to detail, encouraging a hands-on approach through free rum swizzle cocktails, bite-sized ham hock canopes & free-standing rails of garments dripping in desire. With an inviting ping-pong table centring the basement of the Northern Quarter's creative space 20/22, the fashionable males of Manchester gathered to swoon over the preview of the established designer's A/W'13 collections, mentally marking their 'want lists' in their mind. The selection above has even made my list for next pay-day...
Thankyou Alexandra!
